Mixolydian mode is a seven note scale with a numeric formula of 1-2-3-4-5-6-♭7-8/1 and is the fifth of seven modes from the Ionian/Major scale. Mixolydian is the only mode that has a dominant tonality and is essentially a major scale with a minor seventh interval.
