Aeolian mode is a seven note scale with a numeric formula of 1-2-♭3-4-5-♭6-♭7-8/1 and is the sixth of seven modes from the Ionian/Major scale. Aeolian mode has a minor tonality and is enharmonic to a natural minor scale. Aeolian is simply the natural minor's modal name.
